We all need a little colour in our lives every so often
In 2015, I wore all black with a blue dress from Sheike. Last year, I wore a black dress with maroon headscarf. This year, I decided to put my black apparel to rest and wear a beautiful mustard dress with nude accessories…. And I loved it!
Rewind a couple months back, I wanted to be organized for Eid this year and find my Eid outfit way in advance because the last two years, I left it to the very last minute and I was never really that happy with the end results. Even Idrus left his outfit to the last minute. This year we were totally prepared. He even got a scarf for himself to match my dress….. so sweet.
The Alfie dress on Ash was perfection and I just new in that moment that it would make the perfect Eid dress too. It was high-neck, long sleeve and a maxi. If it isn’t all that obvious, it just ticked all the right boxes.
I liked that the dress was beautifully flattering and manifested the waist modestly, cinched with elasticated waistline that finishes into a filled out skirt. The loose sleeves and fitted cuffs adds a touch of sweet and feminine to the bold and yet soft garment. I wore an undershirt underneath due to the cut out sleeves and exposed back.
To finish off the look, I wore my Habiba Da Silva scarf in Shuna and nude heels from Seed Heritage.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Eid with their friends and family and filled their tummies with delicious cuisine.
I know I did.
