A Classic denim dungaree to add to my wardrobe

Through out my pregnancy, I wanted to add a pair of denim overalls into my wardrobe. I have a strange nostalgic feeling towards overalls, especially while being pregnant because my mum use to wear them when she was pregnant with my twin brothers.

However, I never got the chance to purchase one because I couldn’t justify paying for something that I’d only be able to wear for a couple of weeks. So, now that I’m no longer pregnant and I saw this trendy black denim dungaree on NA-KD, I knew I had to have it. No exceptions!

I was so worried that I got the wrong size as I am currently just over 12 weeks postpartum but thankfully it just fits. It’s a little snug at the moment, but I’m still losing my baby weight so I’m not worried.

The overalls features a front pocket on the chest with raw hems at the legs as well as side and back pockets. As I am a shorty, I had to roll up the legs so you can’t see the distressed hems but I’m going to have Idrus cut up the legs so it’s shorter and distress the hems for me.

I originally wanted to style the overalls with a polo leopard top from NA-KD but they were sold out by the time I put my order through. So instead, I styled it with my oversized navy and white striped shirt and finished the look with a pair of chucks.

Overalls are so fun and super easy to style. You can pair it with a bandeau underneath, a hoodie during the colder seasons or a long sleeve. An oversized tee or fitted tee would look just as great too. Your choices are endless!

I can see myself getting a lot of wear out of these through out summer and many more years to come. I can’t wait for next winter so I can pair it with my favourite hoodies.
