Fast Fashion is Dead
Uncle May is easily my favourite local clothing label in Melbourne. I love their minimal designs that are appropriate to wear throughout the season and that they are perfect to compliment your existing wardrobe too.
Having already owned the Sage button up shirt and Annie black and white long sleeve I knew I would love Uncle May’s newly released embroidered shirt too, which features three different quotes; one for each shirt – Outfit Repeater, I Wore This Yesterday and the one I currently own – Same Shirt, Different Day. Oh and the colour of the embroidery is customizable as well, you just need to contact the Uncle May team to discuss it further. I’m already thinking about my next embroidered tee. Perhaps a red embroidery.
The shirt itself is amazing as well. It’s so soft and stylish, perfect to wear all year round as promised by Uncle May.
I paired the Same Shirt, Different Day tee with my blush pink blazer which is an item that has been with me for nine years now. I purchased it via Nasty Gal sometime after turning 18 years of age and I was eligible to get a debit card. That’s where my online shopping craze began too. Not going to lie!
I added it with my pre-loved Nobody Denim black skirt as well, and I really think that wearing an old item with a pre-loved item was a perfect homage to what Uncle May stands for.
Overall, I really liked how the Tony Bianco slides really tied the outfit together. Casual, laid back and stylish, just the way I like it. Uncle May’s embroidered tee is just what you need in your wardrobe and it’s very inexpensive too, considering how good quality the shirt is. The best part about purchasing from Uncle May is that 5% of your purchase is donated to This Life Cambodia to support critical work with children, families and their communities.
