Everyone has their “go-to” staple pieces for the weekend, this is mine!
Working in a corporate environment from Monday to Friday restricts me from being able to dress creatively let alone casually so I bet you can guess that I look forward to weekends because I get to wear whatever the hell I want without having to worry about strict work dress codes.
In saying that, I’m sure I speak for all of us that we have those “go-to” staple pieces that we constantly reach out for and try to create a different spin to it. Basically, for this past weekend I grabbed everything I felt like wearing on the day and just put it together! Originally, I did pick out my trusty black Nobody Denim pants but I had worn these with my Oskar Tony Biancos (which I’ve also been wearing every single weekend)too many times. Therefore, I decided to pair it with my Lee jeans instead which I thought looked pretty chic if you ask me… To take the edge a little further, I added these new sunglasses that Idrus had bought for himself from Asos but they looked better on me then they did on him so I claimed them ;). Finally, this look wasn’t complete without my trusty PM Palm Springs Backpack.
As you can see, I did add my faux leather jacket from Zara to complete the look but I also found that you could easily change up the look by adding a blazer as well. If you follow me on instagram then you would have noticed I purchased a Forever New blazer with gold button detailing which is absolutely delightful. It’s amazing how you can easily change up these basic pieces by simply changing your shoes, your pants or even your outerwear. Today I am showing you this look paired with my leather jacket so stay tuned for part two in the next coming days which will feature the black blazer from Forever New.
On another note, Idrus and I had lunch at Doubleshot on Saturday to try the lunch menu. I must say, Doubleshot did not disappoint, once again… I did want to do another review but I forgot my camera and Idrus just wanted to enjoy a nice lunch without my camera being in his face. The food was amazing though, I did share a sneaky photo of it on instagram here.
How was your weekend? What are you “go-to” weekend pieces?
