Treat yo’ self in a cute little funky town
The weather in Melbourne has been very unpredictable in the last couple of days which means I haven’t been able to go out and get some outfit shots to share. So.. Here is another food review for ya’ll to drool over.
In the streets of Brunswick lies a funky and hipster area in Fitzroy. Amongst it you can find numerous yummy hipster restaurants and cafes for you to indulge in during your lunch break or over the weekend. I found myself here on one fine afternoon after school with Jesse, in particular, in a small and cosy little shop called Girls & Boys where we splurged on some delicious treats to finish off a long hard day of studying.
Jesse and I agreed to order something that we thought would tantalize our palate and share; and that we did.
I ordered the Acai bowl as it was highly recommend by one of Jesse’s colleagues and Jesse had ordered the Pimped Out Cone which is essentially pimped out ice-cream with a waffle cone, raspberries, chocolate and coconut. Not only did it look like a party on a plate but it certainly was a party in our mouth too.
My first and last Acai bowl was a horrible experience so I was very hesitant to try the Acai bowl at Girls & Boys. However, Jesse promised that Acai bowls are in fact delicious so I took my chances and gave Acai a second chance. And was I glad that I tried Acai again as it was bloody delicious! Girls & Boys were very generous with their servings and so they should be at a cost of $12.
Check out Girls & Boys on insta and see what other mouthwatering treats they offer. If you’re a vegan then you will be in vegan heaven for sure.
You will certainly find me back at Girls & Boys again!
