My new favourite brunch location
Canberran’s have been raving about the coffee at Coffee Lab for as long as I can remember, then a couple months ago it opened up a kitchen and have turned itself into a cafe. Yay!
I was super excited to finally check it out and give their coffee a taste and well the first visit was very average, however my second experience was much better.
Oh man…. the food! First time I ordered the French Toast and Idrus ordered the Daaaaamnnnn Daniel and then vise versa on our second visit!
Now, I am not one to have a sweet tooth but I saw photo’s of the French Toast via instagram and it looked divine plus it had nutella in it! So I ordered that and boy oh boy was it a treat! The nutella and raspberry compote compliment one another so well and when you dab a bit of mascarpone with it, it makes it that much better. I definitely give this a 10 out of 10.
Idrus ordered the Daaaaamnnnn Daniel because we also saw a photo of it and it looked absolutely mouth watering and that it was. The beef was juicy and tender and the caramelized onions were heaven and what is a sandwich without some cheese? Nomomomom
Not only was the coffee and food a treat but the service is incredible! I highly recommend Coffee Lab for anyone who hasn’t been and want to be surrounded by great interior, chilled yet funky music in the background with on point menu and friendly staff!
On my plate: French Toast with nutella and raspberry compote sandwiched between donut flavoured french toast, served with mascarpone, hazelnuts and dehydrated raspberry. (16)
